Tram

A modern design with a touch of history

With this conceptual design exercise, we want to show that there is room for improvement in public transport. A tram is an important part of the city and isn’t so easy to replace. That is why the tram must be in symbiosis with the city. Respect for the city’s character, history and residents, is very important..

1 CITY TRAM ANTWERP

A touch of history

In this retro design, some typical, beautiful elements of the old tram – with only a few still in circulation – are combined with modern comfort and high windows. This way, passengers can enjoy their journey and the view of the historic city.

2 COAST TRAM

A stylish icon

The Belgian coast tram is truly iconic, but this is because of its unique route, not because of its looks. This design is a possible successor to the current model which is quite outdated. The design of the nose gives the driver an optimal view and reduces the vehicle’s blind spot to a minimum, which increases safety for pedestrians. The panoramic sun roof gives passengers a real holiday feeling.
